Summary of Koi Paar Nadi ke Gaata

In this poem, the poet seems to depict a real story of his life. He lived in Allahabad (Prayagraj) where 2 rivers Ganga and Yamuna meet. It depicts an incident of an evening where the poet hears and enjoys the song being sung by someone on the other bank of the river. He wonders if the singer knows that his song is being enjoyed and is soothing to someone sitting on the other side of the river. He feels like he has always listened to the song and the singer on the other side of the river has always sung for him.

Summary of Koi Gata Main So Jata

The poet wishes that somewhere in the ocean of his memories that he collected during his life, be it good or bad, he sleeps inside the boat of his dreams and flow with the stream and sleeps unaware of all the worries. He wishes that someone puts his head on his/her lap and strokes his hair, eyes filled with eternal love and the palms full of blessings and he would have slept.

The poet wishes that someone turn the tears or the poison in his life into a nectar with her voice and he would have slept. Someone would have sung for him and lost in the lovely voice, he would have slept.

Such an imagination. These lines are wonderful.

हम ऐसे आज़ाद हमारा झंडा है बादल

चांदी, सोने, हीरे मोती से सजती गुड़िया
इनसे आतंकित करने की घडियां बीत गई

परम्परागत पुरखो की जागृति की फिर से

Azadi Ka Geet Poem Summary

This poem means somewhere contradictory to me. In my view, the poet (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) tries to depict freedom after death. He is free of all the worries; worldly matters and he is free from all luxury. He is now not worried about as what will happen if the luxury is lost. He says that these are like handcuffs, and he has broken it all. His flag of freedom is the cloud itself.

He is saying that now he is in the glory of his ancestors, or he has joined the ancestors. On his head he has the glowing mountain of snow on his head. This means, he is closer to heaven. People who used to decorate their umbrellas with gold and jewelry and put them over head are ashamed now. The poest has reached the clouds and is not afraid of thunders anymore.

Either the poest wants to say that he is in the heaven or has reached the clouds (the extreme of happiness).
