Jataka

Jataka refers to the ancient Buddhist collection of birth-stories recounting the Bodhisatta’s previous existences before his final birth as Siddhartha Gautama. The Pali Canon contains 547 such tales, each illustrating a specific virtue or perfection essential for attaining enlightenment.
